CSY3 and CYMX  are the codes designated for airports.

So is your friend planning to fly from one airport to another in QC?

The person should contact the airports to find out more info, as each airport is different.  As minimum, the person will need to check the weather.  The person will need to find out the flight rental info, fuel info, insurance rate….etc, and report to each airport in advance before departure and landing so the operator on ground can expect an aircraft will take off or depart.

This info should be provided by ground school.  Does your friend attend the school already?
