Japanese movie (old one) on TFO

I saw some very interesting foreirgn films on TFO often late nights ( after 11 or 12 pm).  Espeically last night returning home after skiing.  It is called "Les Contes de la lune vague apres la pluie"  ( Tales from  Moon after the rain) by a Japanese director or film maker Kenji Mizoguchi - a 1953 film.  I guess the moon was hugh last night (connection?).   I find the film very interesting.  It talked about during the middle ages where 2 bother in laws from the country during the war revealed their desire to seek wealth power during the period lead to the sacrifice of their families.  I am sure I have heard of this film many years ago but never saw it.   I think the Chinese name of the movie is like The Rain's wu ( like in wuli - physics) yu ( words).  Anyone saw this movie before?  It is a real gem,  BTW check out TFO it always has interesting old movies.
