The RCMP in B.C. is investigating after an 18-year-old skier was fatally injured after falling more than 12 metres off a cliff on Blackcomb Mountain Saturday afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m., ski patrol at Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort were notified that a young man had been injured in the Crystal Zone area on Blackcomb Mountain.
The incident comes just a month after another death in Whistler. On Feb. 18, a 29-year-old snowboarder was found dead in a forested area of the mountain’s Harmony Bowl area.
