My movie review below: - 1. I consider this one of the best movie so far this year. I think Jesse (played Mark Z) should have Oscar for this. Even Justin Timberlake put out a good performance.
- 2. Be aware that characters talks 3 times faster than usual movies so a bit challenging for people whose native language is not English. It was all the dialogues that make the movie so captive.
- 3. Best scene I liked: the condescending way Mark answered to the lawyers at litigation about if they deserve his attention.
- 4. Not so liked: movie portrayed Asian girls like sluts, and CFO’s ex-girlfriend is basically psychotic. On the other hand, in the real life, Mark’s current girlfriend is a Chinese colleague – plain Jane looking girl, and he’s learning Chinese in order to talk to her parents. So kudos to him!
- 5. The movie is written by author who interviewed the CFO who ultimately sued Mark. So, first 10 minutes, female audiences will think Mark is a total jerk. I just think he’s a nerdy insecure boy whose mind set still stays at age 12. The ultimate irony is that the person who created the biggest social network in the whole world, is a kid can’t interact/social with much of his peers.
