so how does the skis turn itself? as the feet are pushed back by the ground, an angular motion thus momentum is carried to return the feet to the natural orientation. This momentum is not cancelled at the mid point, and the feet twist continue to travel to point to the other direction relative to the initial point. The twist of feet combined with the extension and compression of the legs, both caused by the differential pressure, results the so call skis-turn-itself.

when most of us ski srt, pressure applied to ski would be minimum at fall line, and is greatly reduced compare to that of when the skis are aligned(parallel) with the fall line, thus the ski turn itself does not occur, and the skier adjust the body balance and shift cg and blahblah, you know, all that whole 9 yards we do, and still thinking oh it is so great that my skis are turning without me doing nothing, ya right.

So to summarize, even pressure throughout the turn, the skis will turn itself ==> what is even pressure, and how to apply it, that I don't have time today.
