All 3 local mountains always closed after Easter holidays. Consider Easter is so much later this year, this ski season is very long already. Grouse is free on Monday. Go take a look there.

This is so typical coastal BC . Do not expect the kind of snow cleaning job with salt and everything you are experienced with Quebec. What is "shoung sa?" Chest something?
I just saw this and thanks for all the photos and journal! It looks like a wonderful place to go and so close to Vancouver. Wish that I have a chance someday to visit Cypress. So coastal BC ! You and wife posted beautiful photos and glad to see the smiles! BC mountain, BC air BC water - so addictive
Sure if there is chance. I have never been to Cypress. I learned my first lesson at Whistler and did my first time skiing at Whistler many months ago at its bunny slope at the bottom of the whistler creek when that was the only gondola gong up and there was no way to ski down ( you have to upload) but the bunny slope is at the very bottom next to a big parking lot. The only thing there was a gas station. I took my second lesson at Mount Seymour and I was stunned to see such beautiful scenery. But i never returned after many years until 1994 I think and Whistler was a complete change with Blackcomb and everything. BC coast is so different from anywhere else - especially from the dry snow of Colorado .
