Likewise Snow, reading your journal is like having another sister. I will certainly let you guys know if ever I come to the west. I love Lake Louise and sunshine but i have not visited the ski resorts there since 1994. That was the last time i skied with my sister , just the two of us, at Lake Lousie. We stayed at the Chateau Lake Lousie and we shared a room. It was so much fun. Just the two of us. I treated her to a very nice dinner at Post Hotel and I remember we had the famous goose liver. In 1991 we went with many of our friends in Edmonton who had young family ( 4 vans and 19 people including all the kids) to do a ski trip loop from Edmonton, to Kimberly, to Whitefish Montana Big Mountain, and to Fernie. They were young children but now they are all grown. When you write your journal you remind of our friends in those days. After my mom died, my sister made an effort to come and visit me instead of me visiting my family back west all the time. We went to Tremblant and she fell in love with the ski instructing at the East and she thoroughly enjoyed the ski week at Hotel Club Tremblant. We saw hundreds of deer that year April 1997 on the frozen lake of Lac Tremblant just before the ice melts and the deer went back to the forest after that and did not show up at the estates around the lake to eat the feeds after that as they would normally do in the wintet. That is the largest herd of deer I have ever seen. Unfortunately I did not capture any of these experience with a camera but they live always in my mind and will never fade. |
