Assistant Pro:
The goal of this program is to groom our future ski / snowboard professionals. During the 8-week program, aspiring professionals aged 15 and up will gain valuable hands on experience working along side staff professionals and assisting in the safety and development of our children's program. In addition, participants will receive professional training indoors and on-snow in preparation for entry-level certification. Hired candidates will receive professional staff benefits while in the program. Assistant pros receive a Season pass, snow school uniform and comprehensive training program. The program is geared for both Saturdays and Sundays. We will be holding an Orientation on December 12 for all assistant pros before the January start date. At this time, challenges with the schedule can be discussed. We are flexible and given proper lead-time, can come up with a mutual schedule.
Hours - There is no minimum amount of hours one needs for this program. It is setup so that assistant pros help us out with the teaching of our younger students and we will provide training to the assistant pros to prepare them for the certification course. Assistant pros receive a Seasons pass, snow school uniform and comprehensive training program. The above agenda does still allow for some free-time skiing.
Uniforms - The Resort views assistant pros as ambassadors of our Snow School…future Snow School professionals. Wearing the uniform is a part of this. We trust they are worn with pride and that their conduct is professional.
Orientation - We will be holding an orientation for all Assistant Pros on December 12, 2010 at 9:00am in the Kids Camp building. Registration deadline for the Assistant Pro is December 1, 2010.
