Took me a while to read all these since I have not been able to keep up with all the great comments. Good expressions from both lulu and luvski. In my mind I feel that we are all beings - spirits, all wearing a different body suit to experience this river of life based on our body suit ( I once heard a scientist using this metaphor and I liked it very much). Suppose I am a male and strong and tall and handsome then I will experience a life perhaps different from another one - a very poor disabled girl with few support and resources. I may be Indian, living and growing up in a Hindu culture or I may be Chinese coming over to Canada as an immigrant and still learning ESL. The expereince will be different and therefore will feel differently and have different outlook in life. Nevertheless we should value our body suit and keep growing in our spirit no matter what body suit we have as we travel together in this river of life. Sometimes we land on a shore with flowers and fruits and birds and other times we land on a shore with rocks and with nothing to eat. Let us treasure our time together that we can interact and meet in our spirit on this river of life together.
As it says in a song: Home is where the heart is... and the heart is wherever you ( your love, people, land..., ) are... |
