Just came back from the state Funeral for Layton. It was very moving and inspiring indeed. His message that we should work for a better society with love hope and optimism where we leave nobody behind was very well brought out by Stephen Leiwis. I have never seen so many primie minister, present and past, sitting together as well as cabinet ministers and leaders of political parties and MP of all stripes and all levels of governments clasping to the music of John lennon together. Rob Ford, Hazel MaCalliion, Dalton McGuinty were all there. I saw Dion and many from Quebec as well. It gives us hope that Canada will be a better place. |
