我去个古巴，签证都不用，想见谁就见谁。去个祖国，要blah blah。很显然古巴政府比中国政府更人道，比美国政府那更是天使和恶魔的区别呀。

幸好还有古巴这么人道的地方，让我在这冰冷的世界上留住了一丝温暖。

of course you can, but you are attacking/demonizing not the past but the current.
Western countries were still in slavery not long ago if you image a country/government only based on its past.

first, let's talk in context of visa application:
let me just ask a simple question



you guys here don't like China and are not Chinese citizen and live in Canada as Canadian citizen while Canada puts a lot of restrictions for Chinese citizen to enter Canada.

Basically why do you still think China should give you all special convenience/benefit to enter China?

Let's think it as a simple way, assume China Canada are two person, do you think China (the person) still needs to be as nice as you think it should be to Canada (the person)? Assume you are the "person" China, what do you would do?

Please answer yes/no.

I don't think you are friends of all people around the world and I don't think anyone of you has been nice to everyone else all the time.

It's as simple as that and everyone should respect that.

You are not Chinese citizen by law, just remember that.

As a canadian citizen, however, you should urge Canadian government to remove all those non-sense restrictions.
That's all you should do and you CAN do!

Maybe...because China is more humane? LOL

是的，没人有资格获得特殊对待，包括海外华人。所以我已经提议了，以后附加财产公证，否则太不公平，希望你同意并支持。

我认为，中国政府在这件事情上可以nice，也可以不nice，但是很不幸它选择了不nice。因为对它来说，海外华人是否方便，不在它考虑范围之内，它想多赚点钱，多给公务员创造一点岗位。至于邀请函能否促进国家安全。。。你说如果肯尼亚要求索马里人民以后入境都有邀请函，是不是就没有恐怖分子会袭击westgate mall了？

如果nice一下，给华侨一个温暖，一个拥抱，一个媚眼，让大家更容易回家看看，就一定不行么？咋就这么不humane呢？

because of FLG/Jiang Du/Zang Du ... overseas chinese are not China citizens,
technically you don't have the right to ask a foreign government to give you all conveniences as if you were still a china citizen

Yes, it's nice to have - I agree and I'd like to enjoy those conveniences too.
but if you don't get it, don't begin to attack/demonize the other country/government.
