Heavenly is reporting 99% of the terrain open; skiing is good.

New trail, maiden run.

After 36” of snow dump from the recent storm, Heavenly skiing is now enjoying the best snow conditions of the season.

Here is Heavenly snow report on 02-18-19: Powder, 19”/overnight, 31”/24hr, 46”/48hr, 105”/7days.

The storm warning was issued began on Tuesday 10 pm to Thursday 10pm, which was extended to 12pm Sunday, then extended to 10 pm, heavy rain on Wednesday and Thursday, then heavy snow for next three days, and along with the president weekend holiday crowds, the five-day storms made a quite a mess, nevertheless, there is super powder skiing to be have at Heavenly, if you can handle the 31”sierra powder.

Old Lift Trail, Heavenly

Lost trail found. Back in double-chair lifts era, there was a lift between Sky and Canyon. When the old owner American Ski Corp brought the Heavenly, they replaced those double-chair lifts with Quads, and took down the middle lift, so there was an “Old Lift Trail” left behind. As the trail was not maintained, I thought it should be a good powder skiing place after a snow storm, but I never found it until now, here it is, and the powder skiing is what I thought, very good.
