My magazine is ski pro season 2010-2011. Page 19 is "what do I do if someone in my ski class is in an accident ?"

I mean the Ski Pro Ontario Fall 2010 issue. Maybe you will receive that issue tomorrow. I just got it today.

That other one you mentioned is the Ski Pro CSIA issue.

I did my exam in Quebec, same as other people from Ottawa. :)

I just received the ontario issue and had a quick look. By the last name, 0 of Chinese out of 20 Level3 , 6 of Chinese (including Hongkongnese,Taiwanese ) out of 164 Level 2 , less than 20 of Chinese out of about 800 Level 1. The ratio of Chinese instructors are so low. Long way to go , our Chinese dragon team!

滑雪不一定要成为CSIA才能成龙，只要自得其乐同样能融融洋溢

CSIA 只是对滑雪者某一方面的肯定，学坡上有很多非CSIA的滑雪友同样值得敬仰， Congrats to all those who have shown your enthusiasms in snow sports as well

C Sea is very methodical I can see. How does that compare to ratio from Census Canada or Census Ontario?

Ontario has received follow numbers of new CSIA in season 2009/2010 - 1 level 4, 20 level 3, 164 level 2, 800(approximated) level 1

I believe it must be similar data in the other seasons. This data shows some interesting ratio ,

Progrssion Possibility
Level 0 to 1  unknonw 1/n
Level 1 to 2  1/5
Level 2 to 3  1/8
Level 3 to 4  1/20

The possiblity for a person to be a level 4 P=1/n*1/5*1/8*1/20 =1/800n <=1/800

If n=2 , which is high pass ratio in level 1 , P=1/1600
If n=3 , which is more realistic in level 1, P=1/2400

Great  , I like this data. It teaches us that people have to have sufficient patient plus have to be relax in any CSIA test - no matter it is passed or need retest.

When Csea mentioned that Chinese has some more in roads to make to be certified I was thinking about the % of Chinese in the Ontario population in relation to the % of Chinese names in the people who passed the examsl I ddi not goggle the ratio of Chinese population to the larger population in Ontario. Say Ontario has a pop of 13 million and Chinese is 1.3 million then it would be 10%. But if there are 20 out of 800 in level 1 then it is 0.25% that means Chinese is underrepresented in this area.

CSIA只不过是一班滑雪的失落者,一帮滑雪文人在搞另类的自我满足.很多真正的big mountain skiers, pro freestyle skiers, racers都是和CSIA不沾边的.

呵呵，很多Level IV 的只有高中文凭，离文人差十万八千里，但自持是滑雪的 PhD
