I skied with JF at the Ski Convention. He has a system of his own and we from the Club all liked him. Go to St Anne and you can have a lesson with him. Very dynamic parallel and he uses end of turn to increase speed. Also you can go to next year's Convention, you can ski with interski team members. Sometimes they invite team members from other countries. One year I skieed with a team member ( who is coaching the national team also ) from Sweden. A lot of fun!
JF is Jean Francois Beaulieu. He is director of ski school at Mon St Anne. Hottest right now among the instructors.
On the other hand, having regard that Storm is from the West may be he meant Foster from Big White? But here in the East JF we mean Jean Francois
That is what you get when you join the CSIA convention interski module - an interski member will explain to you how each of the countries ( of course not all countries, just some of the hot ones) teach skiing differently. And then the interski member will demonstrate that type of skiing and then we all follow that type of skiing and have fun. See, during Interski they exchange information and each country presents their teaching method on hill and off hill. I was hoping to go this year but my eye operations get in the way, But I can still get the flavour by attending the convention. If I go again this year I will pick that module again ( one module is half day). Lulu if you are interested you should do your level 1 and then you can come to the convention.
Japan is very interesting . They do a lot of rotation. Very strong on one side then the other side etc.

Thanks for re-posting the video. I can never remember how to do that :-)

Josh is a great skier, but JF is my favorite. I didn't know he is so popular at CSIA, but I have been a big fan of him since I watched this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzcaN17lbEc
Can one really tell the different school of skiing? Rather than just personal style of individual skier? The fundamentals are very similar if not the same. I find especially for CSIA, too many constantly changing catch phrases describing the same thing. I aspire to ski like ANY one of them and would definitely appreaciate a pdp session with any one of the JF's :). Thanks for posting.
