YOu will have many more such days if you ski in Canada! Enjoy while you can. Even the snow is not gliding when it goes down to -24. You need a different wax. If you buy a boots with "heater ready" in the liner, there is a hole for the wire to go through, and "guide" for the wire to go up, and clip for the battery. I can show you my boots in this set up.
But, if you buy a boot without special set-up, you can just put the heater bootbed in without punch a hole. I used this way for many years until I found my last boots.
